The curtains came down to a standing ovation on our last performance of ‘Oliver!’ on Saturday night, and we’re just experiencing the mixed emotions of satisfaction and sadness that always comes with the close of a show. We have enjoyed the journey of getting all the way from script to stage, and worked so hard to make it the best we could.
But our production of ‘Oliver!’ would not have been possible without the help of so many people, and chief among those are the audience! Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to come to see one of the seven shows. We really hope that we exceeded your expectations and you really enjoyed yourselves.
And many thanks to all the local businesses who donated raffle prizes so generously, and to all those who took part in the raffle. We had some wonderful prizes and some very happy winners.
Last but not least, thanks to all the unseen people who were involved in the show. The actors on stage are visible and receive their deserved applause, but those behind the scenes put in a lot of time and effort to bring everything together. Thank you, everyone. No matter how small your job was, it was important and much appreciated.
Kerikeri Theatre Company are always ready to welcome new members, and you don’t have to be an actor. There are all sorts of different disciplines at play when a show is being produced. Check out our Membership page to find out more.
We have two more exciting shows in the pipeline. Keep an eye on our Facebook page or website. More information coming soon!
